With over 30 years of jewelry-making experience behind him,
and as head of the jewelry making department at the University
of California in San Diego, Jay Whaley
is proficient at hand-crafting many exquisite pieces in precious
metals. He excels at teaching others to make their own sophisticated
pieces in precious metals.
Jay’s most popular workshop shows couples how to make
their own wedding or commitment bands in gold, silver, or
platinum. Another of his popular workshops teaches how to
use a rolling mill and drawplates to hand-make wire and sheet
stock for fabrication.
